Hmmm...Maybe my guy friends are weird, but whenvever there's a camera on them, they automatically strike decidedly slashy poses. Which inspired this doodle: ( James/Sirius. )( And Tonks. )And because I adore Kill Bill in a very violent, unhealthy, obsessive way: ( The Bride. )*Yawn* Back to studying. Maybe. *_* Current Mood: exhausted Current Music: AC/DC: "Touch Too Much"

Wow. Has it really been four whole weeks since my last post? Insane. I'm gonna try never to do that again. You'd think that in all that time, I'd have come up with a great deal of post-worthy art, but no. Such is not the case. I did, however, finally finish giftart that I betrothed to glockgal a good two and half months ago. ( James and Lily for the Glock )I hope you like it (*fingerscrossedwishhopepray*)!!!!111!!! ! Happy birthday, lunulet and fiendling!!! Today should be a holiday. Lunuling Day. Or Fiendulet. Or something. I'd totally celebrate that holiday. Anyway, in honor of two of the HP fandom's finest, I drew ( this ) (probably not work-safe because of partial nudity and sheer ridiculousness). Because these two rock my socks on a near-daily basis (and by "these two", I mean Lunu and the Fiend, not Snape and Harry! ^_^), and because who doesn't want some dorky Snarry for their birthday?! I wish I could've spent hours and days and months creating the masterpiece you girls deserve (or at least colored this one!), but gah! School! Gah! Finals! Gah! Work! You get the picture. So darlings, have a great birthday! Lots of love and hugs!! :o*

Coolest ever! nutnatz colored my Weasley kids for me! I'm so excited! And I was also inspired to finish a picture of Bill Weasley I've been working on, since he's her favorite Weasley. ( Here you go, sweetie! )This image contains extremely dorky use of lighting effects and superimposition (is that a real word?). The background picture is courtesy of an encyclopedia and the ancient Egyptians. Now I must get going on the homework I've been blowing off all day. This is the one canon pairing I actually have a little faith in. Although it looks like Hermione's gonna have to make the first move if anything's ever gonna happen. Who knows, Ron may yet surprise us. ^_^ I would've liked to have actually colored this, like, for real, but I had to work. I'd do it tomorrow, but I have to work. Blah. Hope your Valentine's Day is better than I anticipate mine to be! Current Mood: cynical Current Music: The little IM dingly sound.

Oh dear, what have I done? For the first time ever, I've drawn slash. Slash! I cannot believe it! Not that I'm close-minded or anything, I'm just prude. Or rather, I'll look at slash art and read slash fic, but am too shy to actually draw slash. And yet I have. Actually, this is for lunulet. Because she's awesome. And it gave me an excuse to draw some ( Snarry! )Not really my cup of tea (Remus/Sirius will always be my OTP! ^_^), but I enjoyed drawing it, and lunulet was my first friend in the fandom! ^_^ Okay, so I totally LOVE the idea of this whole giftart thing, so I'm working on a couple others too, because there are many totally awesome people in this fandom. But I can't neglect the homework! Damn higher education! Damn it! Current Mood: devious Current Music: Daria

Yea! I just wanna say hello to all my new friends, and thank you to lunulet for plugging my journal! I hope you all enjoy the art, and please, feel free to comment and critique! I love reading feedback, and I'm more than willing to return the kindness! ^_^ I don't really have anything to post right now, except for this doodle I did this afternoon (when I was supposed to be studying for the art history *_*), playing with my new sepia pens. I dug out the pen and India ink and did some damage tonight while I watched American Idol and The O.C. I tried out a couple different styles, but I'm not sure I like the effects I'm getting. Oh well. This one was my favorite. I don't think I'm gonna use it for the finished piece, but it was nice to practice. I do love me some pen and ink! ^_^ ( It's post-worthy at least. )Definitely too intense a look for the piece...I may scrap inking all together... Current Mood: amused Current Music: Futurama

After two hours, all slides of gothic architecture look the same to me. But I don't do all that much looking, really. I love crosshatching! I didn't really make Snape ugly enough. It's a very hard balance to strike; I always make him either too pretty or grossly exaggerated in his ugliness. Ah well. It would be a much better world if orange soda came caffeinated. Just a thought. Current Mood: Freezing. To death. Current Music: Lauryn Hill: "When It Hurts So Bad"

Okay, I'm in a very comic-booky mood today. So this drawing is a bit outrageous, but I really like how it's shaping up. My sister and I were just discussing our favorite parts of Order of the Phoenix yesterday (because she's just NOW finishing it), and Snape's worst memory came up, of course. So, in the mood to draw something dramatic, I decided I'd finally try to depict part of that scene. The end result: ( A bit spoiler-ish. ) Current Mood: very caffienated Current Music: The Archies: "Sugar Sugar"

Lordy, last night was crazy. Maureen called me around four in the afternoon and was like, "Come over right now! Wear something crazy and bring a hat! Ally's here!" Ally was Maureen's best friend when she was going to college in South Carolina. Ally and Mo are the two most riotously hilarious people I've ever, ever met. So I put on my Pepto pink seventies house dress over my cargo pants, grabbed my mom's gardening hat and a camera, and took off for Mo's. When I got there, the tea party was already in full swing, complete with a tea party mix cd. It was insane! We only get to see Ally about once every two years or so, so we imbibed quite a bit of ginger chai tea, ate oatmeal raisin cookies (we called them crumpets, though, for lack of real crumpets), listened to Milli Vanilli and Cindi Lauper (because obviously, what tea party mix cd is complete without "She Bop"??), and bantered wittily in horrible accents of unknown origin for about three hours. Then we rolled and ate an insane amount of sushi and watched Chicago. I finally got home around three in the morning. We took many pictures, but none of us are any too good about getting film developed (and we all have yet to join that digital camera revolution) so I told them I'd immortalize the night forever with a drawing. So here's a sketchy little doodle of me, Mo, and Ally at our tea party. ( This just doesn't do the the strangeness justice... ) Current Mood: dorky Current Music: Dad playing the guitar. Is that "Stairway to Heaven"?!

Ugh, it's been a long 30 hours. Last night I worked 9pm-4am, crashed until 12:30, showered, spent the afternoon coloring Tom and Ginny, had dinner with the fam, then went straight back to work at five, and finally got home about half an hour ago. And the weather's icky. First it snowed (yea!), but then it rained (eew!) and then it snowed AND rained simultaneously. Anyway, I'll save the complaining for my other journal. Here's what I accomplished today: ( Fun with Prismacolors. )And with that, I pass out in my bed. Current Mood: tired Current Music: Bed, bed, bed, bed, bed.

I realized while I was drawing today that I often don't give Ginny Weasley enough credit. I mean, come on. In CoS, she was: away from home for the first time, starting at a new school which was being plagued by a behemoth snake, in unrequited love with her brother's best friend, finding her only friend in a talking journal. All this while being possessed by the Dark Lord! And I thought I had it bad in middle school. Anyway, this is what came of those musings today. ( Ginny Weasley and Tom Riddle. )( And again... )Someday soon I will have to draw a more empowered post-CoS Ginny. Current Mood: cold Current Music: The White Stripes: "Sugar Never Tasted So Good"

I'm betrothed to be the chief and principal artist for my friend Shane's webcomic, which promises to consume A LOT of my time in coming weeks, months, years (who knows?!), so tonight I was trying to come up with a simple, streamlined style to illustrate it with. And I was also watching The O.C. Thus resulting in: ( Those beautiful people, seemingly found ONLY in California. )EDIT: I'm not sure this is the style I'm gonna use. It seems a little too cutesy and WB-ish to me. Current Mood: creative Current Music: FIF: "Phantom Mullet"
